How to Make Red

Creating the color red can be achieved through various methods, depending on the medium you are working with. Here are some effective ways to produce this vibrant color:

1. Using Primary Colors

In traditional color mixing, red is considered a primary color. Therefore, you cannot mix other colors to create red. However, you can obtain different shades of red by mixing it with other colors:

  • Mixing with White: To achieve a lighter shade of red, add white to create pink.
  • Mixing with Black: For a darker shade, mix red with black to get a deep crimson or burgundy.

2. Using RGB Color Model

If you are working with digital art, you can create red using the RGB color model. Set the red value to 255, and both green and blue values to 0:

RGB(255, 0, 0)

3. Using CMYK Color Model

For printing purposes, use the CMYK color model. Set the values as follows to achieve a pure red:

CMYK(0, 100, 100, 0)
