How to Disable Touch Screen

Disabling the touch screen on your device can enhance your user experience, especially if you prefer using a keyboard and mouse. Follow these steps to disable the touch screen on both Windows and Mac systems.

For Windows Users

  1. Press the Windows key and type Device Manager. Open the Device Manager.
  2. Locate the Human Interface Devices section and expand it.
  3. Find the device labeled HID-compliant touch screen.
  4. Right-click on it and select Disable device.
  5. Confirm your choice when prompted.

For Mac Users

Unfortunately, Mac systems do not provide a straightforward option to disable the touch screen. However, you can use Accessibility settings to limit touch interactions:

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Click on Accessibility.
  3. Select Mouse & Trackpad from the sidebar.
  4. Check the option for Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present.

By following these instructions, you can effectively disable the touch screen on your device. If you ever need to re-enable it, simply follow the same steps and choose Enable device for Windows or adjust your Accessibility settings for Mac.
