How to Disable Touch Screen
Disabling the touch screen on your device can enhance your user experience, especially if you prefer using a keyboard and mouse. Follow these steps to disable the touch screen on both Windows and Mac systems.
For Windows Users
- Press the Windows key and type Device Manager. Open the Device Manager.
- Locate the Human Interface Devices section and expand it.
- Find the device labeled HID-compliant touch screen.
- Right-click on it and select Disable device.
- Confirm your choice when prompted.
For Mac Users
Unfortunately, Mac systems do not provide a straightforward option to disable the touch screen. However, you can use Accessibility settings to limit touch interactions:
- Open System Preferences.
- Click on Accessibility.
- Select Mouse & Trackpad from the sidebar.
- Check the option for Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present.
By following these instructions, you can effectively disable the touch screen on your device. If you ever need to re-enable it, simply follow the same steps and choose Enable device for Windows or adjust your Accessibility settings for Mac.
