How to Add Mods to Sims 4

If you're looking to enhance your Sims 4 experience, adding mods can significantly improve gameplay. Follow these steps to successfully add mods to your game:

Step 1: Enable Mods in Game Settings

Before you can add any mods, you need to enable them in the game. Launch Sims 4, go to the Options menu, and select Game Options. Under the Other tab, check the boxes for Enable Custom Content and Mods and Script Mods Allowed. Don't forget to apply changes.

Step 2: Download Mods

Visit reputable websites that offer Sims 4 mods. Download the mods you want, ensuring they are compatible with your game version. Most mods will come in a .package format or as a zip file.

Step 3: Install the Mods

Locate your Sims 4 installation folder. This is typically found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods. If the Mods folder doesn't exist, create it. Simply drag and drop the .package files into this folder. If you downloaded a zip file, make sure to extract it before placing the files in the Mods folder.

Step 4: Restart the Game

After installing the mods, restart Sims 4. When you launch the game, you should see a notification confirming that mods are loaded. If you encounter any issues, double-check that the mods are up-to-date and compatible with your game version.
